Argyrides Maratheftiko

Deep ruby, with notes of tar and mint, along a core of black berries and chocolate. Opens up with roses and violets. Sensual, medium bodied, with plenty of structure yet the tannins are ripe and juicy. A surprising rich palate full of depth and nuance and a top example of the flagship Cypriot red variety. Savoury but also floral with aromas of roses and hints of spices, shows the potential of the variety when it is treated with care both in the vineyard and the winery. Will benefit from 30 minutes decanting. Classic red vinification with 12 months in oak.
