Description
Tsiakkas YIANNOUDI
Vinification Method: Handpicked grapes, 20-day skin contact, cold soak, temperature controlled INOX vats, yeast selection, regular punch down.
Oak Ageing: 90% French and 10% American – 13 months
Aromas: Red fruit supplemented by nutmeg and black pepper aromas. Full body wine with elegant acidity and well-rounded tannins.
Decanter result:
This stubborn grape variety cannot self-pollinate, which forces it to be grown alongside other varieties at an altitude of 1200m. Maybe it’s the stubbornness that forces it to create super concentrated red berries on the nose and mouth. Displaying well rounded tannins, lots of fresh fruit red berries, but black berries and currants too. It has a long finish, with elegant acidity and touches of sweet spice, black pepper and cinnamon. A super example of the Yiannoudi grape variety.
